BRANSON — The Ballparks of America team continues to expand the Branson campus and the schedule for the upcoming season while looking for new experiences to provide for guests.

In that effort, Ballparks of America has partnered with USA Softball Missouri to host the first fast pitch softball tournaments at our facility: the 2018 St. Patrick’s Day Tournament and 2018 Mother’s Day Tournament.

“Ballparks of America could not be more thrilled to bring girls softball to our facility,” said Ballparks of America General Manager Bobby Sutcliffe. “Last season, we were asked from visiting families if their girls could play on our replica turf fields. We looked at many future partners and USA Softball was our top choice.”

Ballparks of America has offered thousands of youth baseball players a unique experience since opening its doors in 2016. Now, softball teams have the same opportunity to perform on our replica Major League-inspired fields and enjoy all the amenities that comes with a visit to our facility.

The St. Patrick’s Day Tournament will be held from March 17-18 for 10-open, 12-open, and 14-open age groups, while the Mother’s Day Tournament takes place May 12-13 for 10-open, 12-open, 14-open, and 16/18 age groups.

Both events are Northern National Qualifiers, carry a four-game guarantee, and are open to any team regardless of affiliation.

This is the start of what the Ballparks of America team hopes is a longstanding relationship with USA Softball that will allow the sport an even greater presence with our organization.

“The USA Softball staff envisioned our facility to one day be a site for a national tournament. They also have the connections to possibly have the 2020 Olympic Softball team play an exhibition game at Ballparks of America.”
